SEE MORE OF THE DECKHOUSE

THE DECKHOUSE

The Deckhouse is situated at the edge of Bartholomeus Klip’s lake-sized farm dam, a short stroll away from the main house.  It makes an ideal escape for quiet reading or birdwatching, or drinking in the spectacular view of the backdrop of mountains mirrored in the vast sheet of water.

Facilities for trout fishing, as well as windsurfing and canoeing, are available for guests to use on the water.  An evening stroll along the dam wall is very popular, especially when followed by sundowners on the deck.

As well as being an amenity for guests at Bartholomeus Klip, the Deckhouse is much in demand for intimate weddings and conferences.  We offer several different packages, available on application, for these. Our experienced staff  take great pleasure in organising these events and meeting the challenges of special requests  – just ask us and see what we can do.

Cocktail parties and year-end functions for around 30 people can also be arranged to suit individual requirements.

WEDDINGS

Weddings have become a speciality at Bartholomeus Klip and the Deckhouse makes a magical setting for drinks, dinner or the ceremony itself – although couples have chosen to marry in all sorts of unusual places around the farm or in the reserve.

CONFERENCE FACILITIES

Our day or overnight conference packages are based on small numbers and have been designed to give groups exclusive use of the facilities, allowing for tailor-made conferences, sales incentives, corporate getaways or product launches. We can take up to 30 people for a day conference, or 16 overnight in shared accommodation.  There is an air-conditioned conference room and an upstairs breakaway room, as well as an outside boma and all the normal conference aids such as whiteboards, flip charts and a digital projector.  Food from the Bartholomeus Klip kitchen is an added plus, with the lavish brunches particularly popular with conference delegates.
