NEWS FROM THE FARM / VIEW ONLINE

Dear {name}, autumn has arrived. Royally grand clouds welcome early mornings and late evenings at the farm, reflecting smorgasbords of warm pink and orange and what rests of the waning summer-sun rays. This weather is perfect for long walks or bike rides in the reserve or in the farmlands around BK, with images of the freshly-made cakes and tea and candlelit dinners that await you at the farmhouse, firmly planted at the back of your mind. People have turned lyrical for lesser reasons ...

In this newsletter We have switched to low-season rates. The latest addition to the BK portfolio, "Heron House", is open and available for bookings (see pictures!). Our next pop-up is scheduled for 21 June. Guests at Wild Olive or Heron House can choose from three food options, and of course, our Sunday Lunch and Early Supper Club on Tuesdays and Fridays continue throughout autumn ...

[ SMOKE & FIRE POP-UP ] Our next pop-up is scheduled for 21 June. These events are very popular, book early to avoid disappointment!

About the pop-up: Resident chef Louise Gillett embarks on occasional eye-flinching and mouth-flattering food fanfares in improvised locations at the farm and nature reserve around Bartholomeus Klip. Six courses of nose to tail bold flavours from foraged and sourced ingredients from the farm, the Swartland region and the West Coast, paired with wines from the region. An unusal and improvised setting, long social tables, roaring fires, and an informal atmosphere.

[ FOOD OPTIONS ] - When staying at one of our self-catering farm houses, Wild Olive House or Heron House, you have the option to either

  1. make use of the fully equipped kitchen or braai facilities at the houses,
  2. join us at the restaurant (we regret, no children younger than 16),
  3. join us at our Sunday Lunch or Early Supper Club, or
  4. order food from the restaurant kitchen and have it conveniently delivered at your front door. Have a look at our automated breakfast, dinner and braai orders here: www.bartholomeusklip.com/order
