Day trips

PLEASE NOTE that hiking at BK and at the private Elandsberg Nature Reserve is only for in-house guests. Day visits are for guided nature drives, and brunch, lunch and dinner at the restaurant only, and must be pre-booked

Join us on a guided nature drive through the Elandsberg Nature Reserve, or join resident chef Louise Gillett for an inspired journey of locally inspired dishes for brunch, lunch or dinner. Or here’s an idea … do both!
1. Rates are per person and all packages are subject to availability.
2. Booking is required two days in advance.
3. No children < 16.

Guests are welcome (pre-booking essential) to come and enjoy the morning with us visiting the Quagga Breeding Programme, and tracking the rare geometric tortoise in our wonderful 10,000 acre private nature reserve, escorted by our qualified guides in an open game-viewing vehicle. Guests can see plant and antelope species unique to the Cape, such as bontebok and Cape mountain zebra, as well as many others such as eland, springbuck and black wildebeest, and numerous indigenous plants, birds and animals.

In addition to nature drives, the kitchen at Bartholomeus Klip is renowned for serving world-class cuisine, and is open for lunch and dinner.
