Winter, summer, autumn and spring ...each and every season creates a unique experience of the farm and the nature reserve. Time now for cold and grey Winter to slowly let go of its wet grip and - grumpily - make room for the tentative but eager sunrays and spotless blue skies of Spring. Drum roll please ... [ SLOW-DOWN SUNDAY ] - Imagine, starting your week on a high. Check in early on Sunday, and while away the weekend with a book at the pool, an easy stroll on the farm, sundowners in the reserve and a sumptuous dinner. Start your Monday with a slow breakfast. And there you go … ready to take on the week with reinvigorated energy. We’ll throw in a special rate at R 1,999 per person, including high tea, dinner, breakfast, accommodation and a sunset nature drive in the reserve. [ SEASONS CALENDAR ] The farm and nature reserve at BK respond to the natural tunes of annually recurring seasons, setting the stage for annually recurring events. BK is never the same, always a little different, throughout the year. Lambs frolic in the farmlands in April and May, which is also our wheat planting season, while harvest season runs from October to November. The shearing of our lambs is quite the spectacle, from July to October and again in February. Our world-renowned flower season is in August and September. [ FOOD OPTIONS ] - When staying at one of our self-catering farm houses, [ Wild Olive House ] or [ Heron House ] you have the option to either -

1. make use of the fully equipped kitchen or braai facilities at the houses,
2. join us at the restaurant (we regret, no children younger than 16),
3. join us at our Sunday Lunch or Early Supper Club, or
