Dear {name}, Spring brings good tidings, and that's true even in a year like 2020 ;-) Winter rains have filled dams all over the Cape to the brim. South Africa is reported to have passed its Covid-19 peak, with less devastation than was initially feared. Our lives have gone back to normal, give or take an ill-fitting mask, funny-smelling hand wash and a socially awkward distance here and there. International borders have opened up to tourists on 1 October - be it selectively and perhaps a little confusingly - and we, together with countless colleagues in South African tourism, cannot wait to celebrate South Africa with our guests - whether they come from all over the world or from just around the corner. It’s been a long and grey winter, but now spring is here, so let’s celebrate all that we have been missing! Join us with friends and family for a Sunday lunch at the deckhouse on 18 October. For those that cannot join but want to share in the delicious fun, our BK Box can be ordered online and delivered anywhere in or near Cape Town - more details below. Oh, and have we mentioned the extension of our Farmhouse Special up until 23 December? Love from the BK team xx FULL BOARD | B&B | HERON HOUSE | WILD OLIVE |
[ SUNDAY LUNCH ] Remember that time when we were locked up in our houses, not allowed to go outside, craving the very reason why we all love this country so much - open skies, fresh air, raw earth ... that intense connection with nature and life. To celebrate, we invite you to join us with friends and family for an informal lunch at the deckhouse overlooking the dam. Get all the details here. Bookings: info@bartholomeusklip.com |
[ SPECIAL EXTENDED TO 23 DEC ] ... or else, take the celebration one step further, come and stay at our Farmhouse and join us for brunch, high tea and dinner, guided nature drives, kayak and bicycle rides for R2,600pp per night. We are extending our exceptional special up until 23 December 2020. View details here, read all about our Covid-19 protocols here, or don't hesitate to WhatsApp Lesley at 0828294131 Booking requests: info@bartholomeusklip.com |
[ BK BOX ] What started as a way to keep in touch with you while our doors had to remain shut has turned out to be more popular than what we expected. Thank you everyone for your support! Our BK Box is going places, it could be your place ;-) If you’re in for some BK favourites, including Wagyu beef biltong, farm honey, home-made rusks, shortbread and springbok droëwors, the BK Box is what you need. Order here (we deliver anywhere in or near Cape Town) |
[ WATER! WATER! ] Dams all over the Cape report close to 100% capacity, with Theewaterskloof Dam, one of the Cape’s biggest dams with a 480 million cubic metres capacity, overflowing for the first time in a decade! [ BK dam filled to capacity ] |
[ CHARITY AUCTION ] You can now stay at BK and support a wonderful organisation at the same time! The Goedgedacht Trust, a farm-based community organisation not far from BK, hosts an online benefit auction in aid of its COVID-19 support activities, including a two-night self-catering stay worth R16,000 for six adults and two children in Wild Olive House, inclusive of a morning game drive. Go to http://bit.ly/BK-bid to place your bid. At 5pm on the last day of October, the Trust will conclude the online auction and declare the bidder with the highest bid the winner of that item. Find all the auction info here: goedgedacht.org/auction2020/ |
[ CORPORATE MEETING VENUE ] In times of social distancing, meeting at an exclusive, isolated farm near Cape Town may be exactly what your company needs. Groups can be split up in even smaller, more private groups across various meeting places, including our deckhouse, restaurant, one of the lounges at our main farmhouse or even in the nature reserve. All, of course, meticulously taken care of by our on-site hospitality and kitchen teams. Find more info here or contact Lesley at info@bartholomeusklip.com |
