Resources & Interpretation – Our Data Protection & Privacy Policy has been compiled in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, No. 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”), its Regulations No 1384 of 2018 (“the Regulations”), the Promotion of Access to Information Act, No. 2 of 2000 (“PAIA”), and the international standards POPIA’s Preamble refers to, and should always be applied and interpreted in line with the principles and provisions these regulations embody. Where other legislation provides for more extensive conditions for the lawful processing of personal information than those set out in POPIA, Section 3(2)(b) POPIA stipulates that these more extensive conditions prevail.
